Now i am still new to sims 3 and i have a lot of sims in my household. i had to move my parents out so i have been visiting them a lot so i don't miss their death. my dad died and i missed it!( i have normal sims 3 with no mods right now) i can't find the grave yard so i can visit him. is there no grave yard?

Hope you are enjoying the game at last! Yes there is a graveyard. The dad should have turned into an urnstone after death and will either be on the lot where he died or in the mausoleum at the graveyard. You can click on the mausoleum and choose something like "manage the dead" or a similar option to find all the urnstones. You can then retrieve your dad in ghost form if you wish!
I am not sure which town you are playing - is it Sunset Valley? If so, go into map view (press M) and then look around for the graveyard, which is called "Pleasant Rest Graveyard".
