Posting Contents - Paul - 03-04-2008 09:49 PM

[glow=limegreen,2,300]Hey everybody! I've been on this forum pretty much 24/7 (my mom says I'm addicted lol), and I've seen some people just posting for no reason.

For example, I'm not naming any names, but on somebody's topic about a person making avatars for people, somebody, and I quote, posted, "I like mine." I think it's very annoying how people post for no reason. Why do people do that!?

It's not a contest most posts, and I just think it's annoying when people think that. Does anybody agree? Does anybody have any ideas for what to do about it?

<I've fixed the spelling in the topic title from 'Contests' to 'Contents'. Just so people don't come into this thread thinking they may win something Wink - Matt>

To be honest, the quality and quantity should be equal. Smile The avatars quote doesn't really bother me as much because saying that they liked their avatar is fine, but what annoys me is when people go off at a tangent then start saying "yeah, lol" that really bugs me, especially because they are talking about nothing to do with the actual topic. Smile

I agree. I hate it when people just say "yea" and "lol". There's just no point in that, and it's a pretty obvious bid to boost post count. They at least could say "I agree," or "Good idea." :-\

P.S. Why is there a bar whenever I post in a glow?[/glow]

If members really just wanted to boost their post count, it would be easier for them to do this playing games in the "off topic" section.  Smile

[glow=pink,2,300]Definately. Your post count just rockets when you play the forum games. And it would be way more sensible that just putting "yea" and "lol" everywhere you go.

And about the glow thing adding bars to your post Paul, I have no idea why! I'm just testing my post to see if it does the same. ???[/glow]

That's what the glow feature does. At first I thought it would just add a slight outline to my letters but it adds a whole background to your sentences Smile

[glow=blue,2,300]Oh, ok. It was just weird how it appeared like that. Oh well.

I agree with you SHP!

Nice glow by the way!

Well, I'll try my best to tidy up the place and remove all posts containing less than 2 syllables (unless, of course, they actually apply to the thread).
