OK, this one takes some beating in the WTF stakes.
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/canada-us-police-bust-major-cheese-smuggling-ring-210410690.html
Canadian and US authorities have busted a cross-border cheese smuggling ring that brought $200,000 (Canadian Dollars) worth of mozzarella into Canada undeclared and without paying duties.
Four men, including two Canadian policemen, were foiled in the caper to also distribute the dairy products - as well as chicken wings and pickles -to pizzerias and other restaurants in southern Ontario for an estimated profit of Can$165,000, Niagara Regional Police said.
They each face several charges including conspiracy, smuggling and breach of trust.
A conviction carries fines and possible jail time.
Constable Derek Watson told AFP: "Most people have been chuckling about the arrests (in online postings), but the (police) chief is taking these crimes very seriously."
The investigation involved the US Department of Homeland Security, US and Canadian border agencies and the Niagara Regional Police in southern Ontario.
Other countries have guns, drugs and even people smuggling rings. The longest unguarded border in the world has cheese smuggling.
Only in Canada I guess!

You have to be pretty stupid to try and smuggle that much cheese across that border. I mean, you'll get away with a few extra t-shirts layered on (wink wink), but they're not idiots, they're gonna find $200,000 worth of cheese!

I'm finding it hard to imagine $200,000 worth of mozzarella....

I'm sitting another exam tomorrow, so I'll be quiet for the next 24 hours. Thought I'd better warn you in advance.

Best of luck to you, Minty!

That's another exam away, 94% again. In the practice test it was 100%, but the real exam had five questions in it that had stuff that was never on the syllabus. B**t**ds! So long as I pass, that's all that counts. The invigilator was a right moody so & so as well, gawd where do they find these people, do they breed them in labs?
Got soaked on the way home, of course the moment I was back indoors out came the sunshine. I think it is safe to say autumn is upon us with a vengence.

Yay! No more exams to follow, I hope? They like to throw a few shocks in with the real test don't they. Big meanies.

Decided to take the kayaks out on the ocean today. Now I'm redder than a steamed lobster and my shoulders are killing me.
