I hope Minty is doing OK ....
It's getting cold again here, following on from a weirdly warm week. The current forecast tells me that I may see some snow on Saturday!
When you were a kid (or still are) and were pulling faces, did people say to you "don't pull that face or the wind will change and you'll get stuck like that"? I think that yesterday I saw someone that may have actually suffered such a fate. This guy gets on the bus and sits next to me with this big frown, looking really angry. I'd already clocked him as a potential problem because he sat next to me even though there were empty seats further back, never a good sign. I decide he could be frowning because he finds my iPod too loud so I turn it down (although I have it set so it shouldn't be audible to anyone else). Frowning continues. I turn it down again, so low that I can barely hear it myself. In the end I switch it off. Nope, guy is still frowning. I swear his face was just naturally angry-looking. I didn't like it.

The antibiotics are kicking in at last (had to wait for an emergency appointment yesterday at - wait for it - ten past five! Doctor said "you should have come sooner" - would have come sooner if they didn't have a rule "Patients must be at death's door before they will be considered for an appointment"). I am however suffering from a severe Ribena overdose I think.
It's been days since I've done any gaming at all - just sleeping or reading. Wow, it feels so weird.
Speaking of pulled faces, there used to be this woman I worked with who had the annoying habit of coming up to you if she'd been outside for a fag and clamping her hands on my cheeks, giving it "Oh, feel how cold it is outside!" I could feel both of my cheeks touching each other from the inside of my mouth for the rest of the day until they unnumbed.

I'm glad the doctor deigned to see you. A few days of reading and sleeping sounds about right. So many people with horrific coughs are trying to go to work. They look like ghosts. I guess people are too scared to take too much time off work at the moment.
*give Minty a pot of hot tea*

Winter sucks. I feel awful for you guys.
I just got back from the beach.
RE: The Official Nonsense Thread - Caspin - 11-01-2013 01:45 PM
I don't mind winter, in fact I quite like it dark and cold. What I find awful is the excessive number of diseases circulating here at the moment. Among people I know we have norovirus, normal coughs and colds, extreme coughs, chest infections (bacterial and viral), unknown stomach bugs, sore throats. Pretty much everything in various combinations.
It's rubbish!

Ran to the toilet in the middle of the night having been spontaneously sick in my sleep! Thank *** I was lying on my side at the time, if I'd been lying on my back that might not have gone so well. Head's pounding.
Thought this antibiotic was working but looks like this bug's not finished with me yet.

Oh dear! Well you should stop making me lovely T-shirts and go and rest!
Maybe the antibiotic will defeat the chest infection but give you stomach-based side effects in the meantime. Hang in there Minty.

LOL, wot?
Would you employ a bodyguard that claims to have been beaten up by Justin Bieber? You'd have thought he'd have kept pretty quiet about that if he ever wanted to work as one again.

But Minty, JB has a capacity for evil - didn't you see him in CSI?
RE: The Official Nonsense Thread - Ollie - 11-01-2013 09:40 PM
He is stealing our females, he is evil and must be stopped.
