Yes, lightning is scary...but it's gorgeous at a distance.
the only time i can stand lightning exactly!
from a distance..once it starts getting close...im scared...and thunder..at times..especially when all alone..it can scare me too..but sometimes i really love the storming.

I love storms, and walking in the rain.
The only downside to storms is I have to turn my computer off.

The sight and smell of plants and trees is so pleasant and exudes a mixture of awe and hope.
I have an oak tree in the park nearby that I like to sit under and read. Such a gorgeous place to escape all of the complexity.
Texas also lacks snow. I've only been in it once and that didn't even stick for very long.
That sounds so lovely. I always go out to the bench at the bottom of the garden, both in the sun and when/after it rains (the trees stop the rain from hitting me) and go and read. I love to read outside in the fresh air. It makes the book seem 4 times better than it would indoors.

Or 5 times. I also adore reading outside. It's truly amazing.

me too reading outside is so calming..as long as its a nice day which is rare around here..i wish i had a big tree in my yard or something..but my yard is soo tiny..we have a pretty hefty side yard though..but theres not much in it other than a kids slide..and kids stuff..from like 7 years ago haha..
anyhow i want a nice tree to read under. i used to use my rooftop and lay down and read but we moved to a mobile home when i was 14 so that cant happen anymore.lol
Re: The Official Nonsense Thread - bambigoddess - 29-04-2008 08:22 PM
I use to read on my roof, too! Especially at night when the stars are out.
Re: The Official Nonsense Thread - ChalyssaMuch - 29-04-2008 08:39 PM
i loved my roof i used to just relax up there and do all kinds of things read..talk on the phone..listen to music..etc..
that was my spot.
Re: The Official Nonsense Thread - bambigoddess - 29-04-2008 08:51 PM
Same here. And like I said, I loved it at night.
Re: The Official Nonsense Thread - Cassie - 29-04-2008 08:56 PM
I have read alone in the garden in the dead of night, and my friends and my mother think I am absolutely mad, my mother doesn't want me doing it, but I do it anyway. You can here all the calmness of nature at night, and the sky always looks like silk and the stars are all silver and dazzling, it's perfect for getting lost in your imagination. It can be quite creepy when you see shadows and hear rustling, but at the same time, it's really tranquil and relaxing.
As for rooftops... well, erm, I don't think you'll find many people here sat on their roofs, they're slanted. That would be mazing though!
Re: The Official Nonsense Thread - bambigoddess - 29-04-2008 08:57 PM
My roof is slanted. Always has been. I've never had a flat roof. But I sit on it anyway.
