Modify items so that they do something else (or don't do anything at all) than what they normally do?
Like, could you take a plot of Flowers from the build mode, and make them a decoration in Buy mode? So that they add to the environment like any decoration would, but don't require watering or anything like that. Like the house plants you find in Buy mode.
