and its also why if we get a lot of people, we need to have more admins and mods

Re: The BBS - yummybunny - 07-12-2008 06:47 PM

True.  And the harder it will be to find admins and mods.

I would never admin or mod the BBS, because I feel it would be too much.  I mean, I don't mind closing threads, or banning, but then you have thousands of people complaining to you, and EA on your butt, treating you like s#!+ and stuff...and no one respecting you...I been broke the rules and went off on someone.  Everyone would be banned under my watch.

Re: The BBS - b-rad - 07-12-2008 10:14 PM

i would be a mod or admin on a huge forum, something like this forum would be nice though

people are respective here

Re: The BBS - yummybunny - 07-12-2008 10:20 PM

Don't get me wrong.  I don't mind modding a huge forum or anything.  I am able to mod, but the BBS, with all those people and EA on you...idk.  My fear is that it would be much more work than the average forum...hundreds of messages, lots of complaints, spammers coming out of thin air, and all happening at one time.  People are usually respectable on forums, but I really don't feel much at peace when posting on the BBS.

Who knows...I may if they ask, because I will regret it later on.

i think it would be cool to mod a forum

Eh, stop hinting ;]

To be honest, moderating isn't all that. I know you all probably think we think we are 'superior' we say "Oooh Topic Locked", but we don't, or at least I don't anyway.

And he was hinting...and I didn't recognize...I am so, so, so slow.

Yeah, this forum is so peaceful and good, there won't be no modding positions open for a while.

Yep, you got that right xD

We have two moderators and an admin who can take care of everything.

Technically a member could be a moderator in their own way, by clicking the Report To Moderator button to alert moderators of an 'unwanted' post. So you are still helping out the forums ;]

Re: The BBS - yummybunny - 08-12-2008 09:49 AM

That's good.  And luckily we only attracted one kind-of spammer.

Then bots...I have seen this Viagra bot register yesterday. (lol)
