UGH!!! Whenever I try to play my sims it keeps shutting down on me!! Thats why I haven't gotten an update up. I really need help on what I should do!
This is whats happening.

Theres no updates for me to upload, so yeah... I'm doing a scan atm.

Do you have the latest patch?
Recent downloads?
Recent hacks?
Did you try to remove all custom content?
Do other games work?

1. I don't like patches.
2. Yes
3. No hacks.
4. No CC
5. Sims is the only game I play on this computer.

In order for further assistance, you should install the latest patch.
Now, if you don't want to download a patch (I highly recommend you download the latest one), cut all the files in the downloads folder and paste them to a new folder on the desktop. Try running the game. If it works, then go through your downloads one by one until you find the one(s) that cause the game to not work.
Or, you can uninstall the game and reinstall but you would lose all your progress.
Or, try running a different EP or SP.
Or, see if you can play anything else in the disk drive (DVD, blank CD to write to, install something else). This can help to tell us if the disk drive is broke.
Now, these are the quickest and easiest things right now. Let me know what happens after you try them.

My game is running fine so far. I've been able to play it for 2 hours straight.
A new high record.
