Ok well i think this is a great idea and hopfully you will to.... i think that when you are first making a family (and they dont have a lot of money right? unless you use cheats) you can have to options one is too make you own house witch will be a little bit more expensive or 2. Have a crew of biulders come to the property you bought and have them biuld one (in time laps of course)

Second part to my brilliant idea:
As a Career you could be an architecture and design the house (no interior design just basics) so that when the biulders come they will have options of houses to make.

So what do u think?

I thinks its a cool idea, you string it out to the point of one of your sims could build a second home and sell it

i agree with the second one
architecture is also art
it would be nice if they built/designed there own stuff
they can get a logic, charisma, artistic skill
like gain points and lifetime wishes, etc. {yes}
