Big Grin Resources and help for TS4
The Sims 4 Help Blog by Crinrict

For those who have been dependent at some point or another on Crinrict's Help Blog for The Sims 3, you will be pleased to hear that she has set up a version for The Sims 4.

I think that whether the blog turns into a huge resource like its TS3 counterpart or is a much smaller affair will depend on: (1) whether Crin gets into TS4, (2) how many bugs there are in the game and how fixable they are and (3) how much time she has to spare for the project.

We may as well have a link here for those who feel comforted by its very existence (hell, I don't even plan to get the game but I feel better that it's there)!

RE: Resources and help for TS4
I'd a feeling Crinrict would cave in & decide to get involved in bug fixing for it after vowing she was retiring from it after TS3 Biggrin

Very good news for anyone buying TS4, they're going to need her bad.

EA's Answer HQ for The Sims 4

There is also Answer HQ for those looking to ask specific questions if they run into technical problems. Might as well link that here as well. Thus:

RE: Resources and help for TS4
Slightly off-topic but hell who cares? You know I love my limericks and I've been meddling with some while I am supposed to be packing (I've also washed the shower curtain and categorised all the dry goods alphabetically in the kitchen cupboard - I believe it is known as procrastination). One turned out sim-relevant so I thought I would shove it here.

An ode to Crinrict

There once was a simmer named Crin,
Her help blog was so full of win!
My game had freezes and lag,
It was such a drag,
But her help fixed it and restored my grin Big Grin

Update to specifications

The Sims website has been updated to indicate both the minimum requirements for The Sims 4 base game as well as recommended specifications. Here they are for ease of reference:

RE: Resources and help for TS4
Updated because there are now two sections at Answer HQ, one for general help with The Sims 4 and one for gameplay bug-reporting (Crin is using Answer HQ instead of a thread at the official forums this time round).

RE: Resources and help for TS4
The Sims 4 is now available for Mac. I'm not sure anyone here is interested in this fact. Certainly I'm not! Tongue

However we might as well gather the facts, just in case.

Here be the minimum specifications:

MINIMUM OS: Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz Processor or better
RAM: At least 4 GB RAM
HARD DRIVE: At least 10 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or better. Video RAM of 256MB or better
INPUT: Keyboard and Mouse
ONLINE REQUIREMENTS: Internet connection required for product activation.

If anyone is playing The Sims 4 on a Mac and gets horribly stuck, the best place to report bugs is in the new Mac section on the official forums, where a few experts are on hand to help out. EA have even managed to do the right thing as far as stickying BluebellFlora's bug thread goes (if only they had showed as much sense in the TS3 section for all these years).

Or you can try your luck in the Answer HQ. Just don't ask me, as I am clue-free Biggrin
