Weird game of chess!

I like playing chess, even though I'm hopeless at it. The Chess Titans game that comes free with Windows 7 gives a good enough challenge and you can up the skill level as you go along.

Just upped it again this morning but I hope any future games are a lot better than this first one.




This is about the fifteenth move of the game, and having allowed my pawn to take his queen, which was bizarre enough, the computer was quite happy to allow my pawn to take its rook next and become a queen in turn.









After this, I lost a pawn and a knight in exchange for almost all of its other pieces.

I kept waiting for it all to be part of some clever strategy that would have me checkmated in two moves before I knew what had hit me, but it kept playing like it was on the cooking sherry.




I hope any future games are a lot less surreal than that one!
