Yes - the Curse Of Gillette will not be mocked!
Don't be daft - he's British and a Hibee, Federer will tan his sorry hide

Will Andy Murray win Wimbledon?
For the first time since 1938, a British player has reached the final of the Mens Singles at Wimbledon, with the hope Murray can be the first since Fred Perry in 1936 to win it.

One omen is good. Jonathan Marray won the Mens Doubles yesterday with Fredrik Nielsen, the first time a British player has won the Mens Doubles since 1936. Another is that during the Queen's Silver Jubilee of 1977, Virginia Wade won the Women's Singles (before going on to be a regular source of hilarity for the British public from her annual Wimbledon knockouts to unseeded players). As it is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, we're owed a win from a home grown.

The snag is Murray is playing Roger Federer, looking for a record seventh title Wimbledon title and still as brilliant to watch as ever (he's just about the only reason to bother watching men's tennis anymore). Murray has a poor record against Federer and as a typical Hibee always bottles it on the big day! Biggrin Only two Grand Slam finals to his name, & two losses.

The only real hope for Murray is that Federer is still to suffer his annual Gillette forfeit.

Everyone knows the "Curse Of Gillette", athletes sponsored by that firm have one major career catastrophe during the year. Tiger Woods, Thierry Henry & David Beckham all learned the hard way Gillette's money came at a price, but Federer has gone back to Gillette as part of their Olympics promotion for the first time since 2010 when he refused to renew his deal with them after a series of early knockout tournament howlers made him think it was best not to tempt fate.

Will Federer find Murray giving him a closer shave than Gillette today? Tongue

Andy Murray is so gloomy. He makes reaching the final at Wimbledon seem about as exciting as waiting for six-day old pasta bake to soak off an oven tray. So I shall vote against him in this poll on the grounds that he is too grumpy to get my support!

The Hibee bottles it again! Biggrin

Federer had over 30 unforced errors to Murray's 12 or whatever. In any other tennis match, the smart money would be going on Murray on those stats, but once you see he starts muttering to himself on court, you know he's losing it.

What was with that weird noise he made every time he served. It was like he was saying "WAFFLE!" like a camp Mr Punch? Dunno

They showed highlights of the Mens Doubles final when they were getting the rain roof put over. That Jonny Marray guy from Sheffield that won looked shifty. Better drop a line to Cassie to look out for an All-England Mens Doubles Tennis Trophy appearing at her local branch of Cash Convertors! Shocked
