RE: Fury
Might have known a bloody mare was causing all this trouble Tongue

Loved the giraffe insult and "it’s all happy and raining Skittles and sh*t like that!"

Don't worry about the language (there is an automatic language filter in place for the more OTT words), it's not like the bad old days on this site where you'd have a certain moderator editing your work to death & slapping an adult content note on it after giving you a telling off (which from bad reading some old story posts appears to have been a major reason most of the story tellers f**ked off elsewhere). As long as it's not "Trainspotting" levels, nothing wrong with the odd expletive for dramatic effect.

RE: Fury
Surely if an OTT word got past the filter, by misspelling for example, a zealous moderator could just go into the post and edit it so that the filter would then catch it? Or replace those words with bunnies and squirrels. Better than losing a story teller.

As an experiment I wrote a post with a high proportion of offensive words (I got them from my mother, who has a vocabulary that could make sailors blush) and previewed it just to check what the filter would let through. Naturally I did not then post it, because I'm so genteel, but the words the filter chose as replacements were amusing! Lots of fudge.

Looking forward to seeing some more action in the stables .....

RE: Fury
Just tried it via preview post and there are still some words that aren't getting censored.

Maybe the words you picked were less extreme than my choices (or so extreme that the filter doesn't know them - now my imagination is running away) ..... or maybe you are allowed to write a greater range of expletives than me, Ollie. Is Minty censoring me?! Surely not.

RE: Fury
There is a swearing filter in place from the days when this forum was overrun by spam - some of it being pawn (which will not come out as that word but you know what I mean). I altered some of the auto-replacements for less matronly ones so we could get some laughs out of it.

You need to hit the right target words to get them to change, & there's not that many.

"Cupid stunt fudge".

Yup, I see what you've done there.

Perhaps we should let Fraroc continue his story without any further attempts to lower the tone. Biggrin
