I don't know if I would want that or not.

It would depend on how serious the colds/sicknesses get.

I still want The Sims 3 to not be real life, but I want it to be closer than The Sims 2.

About the cold developing into something worse, that would only happen if the sim ignored it and was in the later stages of life. It wouldn't be something you would be constantly worrying about.

True I think colds if added should be a little more than annoying..there should be ways to medicate it so the needs dont fade as fast.

Yes, that makes sense dejadejavu. I just don't want them to be such a part that you can't play the game without a cold popping up.

For me, it would mainly be a way to get rid of elders. Elders live waaaaaaaaay too long, and I don't really like burning up my sims, but some natural disease related deaths could do the trick. Like if they've been outside in the cold, elders could rapidly go from cold to pneumonia.

I agree, the Elders live much too long, and besides, this is the part of their life when (for most) they are at their weakest, so it should not be so long, it should be easier to die as an Elder. Well, for most Elders. I think some should be really healthy and fit and live their life as long as possible, because you do get Elders like that, after all.

yeah its like they never died unless you killed them or there age bar was done with...
they lived far too long for being basically adults without jobs
