The Official Nonsense Thread

RE: The Official Nonsense Thread
Yes, it's all the old cast - it's based around the Irvine Welsh novel "Porno" with some extra bits thrown in.

Rangers are making idiots of themselves in the media up here with a massive amount of sour grapes - trying to use the pitch invasion to have Hibs forfeit their UEFA Cup spot to them. Yeah, because the fans with the worst hooliganism record in British football are far less of a risk to the nation's sporting reputation abroad than Hibs!

RE: The Official Nonsense Thread
Normally I would be excited about the end of the school year. One last month before we pause for a couple of months and do some serious rnr or serious travelling, yard work, or job to make up the difference. I am eager for the end to come but at the same time, because of the big reorg in the division, I am dreading the month of June. BangHeadPissedOff

Some workplaces seem to do nothing but reorganise themselves these days. Hope it works out OK for you and try to enjoy the summer break. Where might you travel to?

Yeah, I saw about the pitch invasion and thought it was a bit rich for Rangers! Sore losers.

I'm very glad for the bank holiday. I've been too sleepy all day and would have been useless at work. Got back from Stratford yesterday (where I was also sleepy) after a lovely weekend of theatre and visiting a farm. I met a lot of animals and watched a blacksmith make some arrow heads. But the most exciting thing of all was watching a sheep being sheared with traditional clippers. I was so nervous for the sheep!

Have a good week and wish me luck staying awake!

In re: my post on the 'What are you doing right now' thread, here's what I was talking about.

Don't worry - it's not 'Threads'. I promise. Smile

RE: The Official Nonsense Thread
Northern Ireland made it. Republic of Ireland made it. Even Iceland - whose population is smaller than Edinburgh's & about the same as a London borough like Lambeth - made it to the last 16. It's been an amazing tournament!

The big vote's tomorrow to see if we're staying in or leaving. It's all got very irritating, lots of name calling & issues that had nothing to do with our membership being brought up. That will be an end to it anyway tomorrow night, & we can all get back to digging nuclear bunkers in our back yards to prepare for a Trump presidency Shocked

Hello Ollie, nice to see you!

I am thoroughly disheartened by the referendum result and will start packing I think!

RE: The Official Nonsense Thread
Oh yes, surprise I'm here! Biggrin

It's certainly been a weird day. I woke up to reports of 'remain' winning and came home to Brexit.
I didn't know which side to take (seeing as it doesn't affect me), but from what I read both sides had decent arguments.
