My postal vote arrived on Sunday so I have filled it out and sent it off. Civic duty done, sit back and see what chaos and horror shall follow.

It's my birthday today, apparently. I forgot all about it when I woke up - I was so busy trying not to have my hands ripped off by hungry cats (it would seem that I do not open their food at sufficient speed) and then merrily cleaning out the litter tray while trying to get out the house to get to work. Then my brother texted me at six, so then I remembered. By complete chance, one of my colleagues has arrived at work with a massive cake - his girlfriend is making a lot of cakes as practice, as she is responsible for making a tier of someone's wedding cake - so we are receiving the prototypes at work. So I have decided it's my birthday cake. It is quite nice not to have to make one!

Hope Minty's feeling a little better at least.
