Re: Your Eye Colour
Two of my sisters used to tell people I was adopted.  ;D  But when I met my uncle [in England], he has the same blue eyes. Same as my grandma he said.

So your family all have blue eyes and blonde hair too? Yet more alike Wink ...

Re: Your Eye Colour
I love that our family totally defies the genetic rule. Darker hair is supposed to be much more dominant, same with eyes, I think. My dad has black hair and my mum has blonde, so my chances of having black hair were 75% (25% blonde) because the chances are 1 in 4. My mum has a twin brother (twins are common in my family) and also has another brother and sister, and their mum had brown hair and dad had blonde - they all came out blonde, and it has been like this for generations. I want to know why it works like this for us, how it's possible if dark hair is dominant.

Re: Your Eye Colour
Dark hair in general is dominant...but I think other things play a role in it. For example, Germans are more likely to have blonde hair, even if one of their parents has dark hair.

I'm not 100% positive about this (since I don't major in Science Wink), but I remember reading it somewhere, so I thought I'd share.

Re: Your Eye Colour
I really must have German in me then... I've never really been able to look at my family tree, so I don't know. I got as far as the early 1800's.

Re: Your Eye Colour
Honey? That sounds really sweet and adorable. It makes me think about the fact that bees will be extinct in 10 years, so they say. Sad

Interesting fact...I do think I've heard that before. Well, sucks for some, awesome for others.
