As far as the hiding thing, I have a story.

I use to frequent this forum, and on April Fools the mods staged a hilariously elaborate fight where one of the mods said that they were never coming back to the forum. Then she used the "hide" option to watch the whole forum freak out.

It was pretty funny. I know it might sound dramaful and cruel, but it was all in good fun. Mainly because the fight was so ridiculous.
