Mods and CC Limit
On my sims 2 game, I have about 350 items of custom content and mods combined. I have downloaded more to add more hair and items to do my legacy, but the game crashed on me.
The solution was to delete some custom content and stuff. I finally got it to the limit where the game won't crash or freeze. How much CC do you have on you game? How much CC do you think is too much? Do you organize your CC by subfolders in your downloads folder or what? ###My CC is very unorganized, they are not in folders, so I do not know what I am deleting when I do delete. Tell me if we can make folders in the downloads folder? Pokemon and Fire Emblem Forum

http://pokemblem.b1.jcink.com/index.php? |

Re: Mods and CC Limit
Yes, you can make subfolders in your Downloads folder, I have it set up like that in mine.
My layout is as follows: Downloads > Website > Type So, an example would be Downloads > MTS2 > Hair So, when you go into your Downloads folder you'd find the website folder, as example above was MTS2 , then select a type folder, like Hair, Eyes, Clothes, etc. Member since March 17th, 2008

Re: Mods and CC Limit
Well, in my Downloads folder I have 22696 files. That's about 5GB.
In my Saved Sims folder [my own CC] there are about 200 files. xP Organized? Nah, would be way too complicated. I only have 3 major sub folders: Bodyshop CC, Objects and Hacks. I don't think there is such a thing as too much CC. ??? - // ::ÆÑεaκzá»á»ââa::\\ - |

Anyway.. I did not know you could organize it. I thought it went to the little folder it needed to go to so it could run in the program. |

Re: Mods and CC Limit
How much CC do you have on you game? - I have 69,403 files in my downloads folder.
How much CC do you think is too much? - There's no such thing as too much CC, as Freakzilla already said. Do you organize your CC by subfolders in your downloads folder or what? - Oh, yes. It took forever to do so, but now I like it. I do the exact same thing Majick does. Great minds think alike. [center]

It's...the doughnut manatee. XD |

Re: Mods and CC Limit
You should know my friend... I went round to her house a couple of weeks ago, and her downloads folder... HUGE! She had... wait for it.... 95,000 (well not exactly but I don't remember the other digits) downloads in there!
Now that is some crazy stuff right there... {yes} |

Re: Mods and CC Limit
I use to have a ton more, but after realising I didn't use most of it, I cut it in half.
Nice to know your friend is obsessed, too! [center]

It's...the doughnut manatee. XD |

Uh, yes, well...
Anyhoo! Long live CC! What would our Sims be without it?... Pretty ugly, that's for sure. |

Re: Mods and CC Limit
Do any of you know why my game was crashing and freezing with only 350 files in the downloads folder.
I do have lots of other stuff on my computers like movies, software, games, and stuff on my computer, could that be a factor. That takes 70+ GB. My computer is fairly new and it shouldn't be simply crashing on The Sims when it does not have that much content on it.
