Changing 'Hoods
How much of a change do you think they are talking here?

Do you think during the years/generations that the town will physically change, and not just with new Sims living , aging, and dying?

For example: Do you think we will be able to have our Sims poke their head out the window and see deceased Ms. Johnson's old farmhouse being rebuilt before our very eyes with the said construction phase?

What about vacant lots and homes that no one moved into, do you think they will grow old, dank looking and hobo infested, then, right before its moved into, rebuilt and made new?

What about shops, and restaurants?

Will the same clothing store be there for one hundred sim years though the townies who were there when it was built are long since dead?

How seamless do you think EAxis will make our game to where the 'hood takes care of itself?

Of course all these questions cannot be answered so soon, but I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Re: Changing 'Hoods
Its all over, seamless means open ended/busy/things are always going on and changing.

Its in all the articles, sims aging with your sims, having kids, dying moving etc.

What I'm trying to figure out is what happens to the buildings and such, and not just the Sims.

Maybe the game will recreate and move lots around the hood like we can if we feel like upgrading or moving the house to a bigger lot.

Re: Changing 'Hoods
Hmmm, that's pretty cool. I hope that something like that will be included in the game, that would be 'refreshing'! Smile

Re: Changing 'Hoods
I think that would be very cool. But I hope that no houses will be abandoned, unless you want them to be. I think townies should have real houses. They can't just randomly disappear now!

Re: Changing 'Hoods
One of the things I wish they would do for TS3 would make it so that even if you move from one hood to another, example: bingohills to toppleheights (lol like my names?), your sims won't lose friendships/relationships with the other sims like they do now in TS2.

If you move your sims from Pleasantview to Strangetown, your sim no longer knows any of the sims they used to know, and therefor can't even call them. I think in TS3 you should still be able to know your friends and call them.
