Just talk about the times you've broken your arm and whatnot, but don't get to gory with the details...

The worst inury I ever had was when I sliced my thumb open.  I was sick, and so was my dad. So I thought I'd do him a favor by washing the dishes.  While I was doing that, our cat was being a pain because she was hungry.  So when I finished the last dish I set it aside, and got a can of catfood down.  As I was pealing back the lid, my hand slipped, because it was wet from the dishes, and sliced my thumb wide open.

Thankfully, it wasn't too bad.  I still have a very faint scar, but I didn't need stitches.
