Just something to add: Showheadlines also gets rid of the popups on the adge of the screen (the ones that tell you about the sims lives, promotions, skill gains, stuff like that.

Ok, so i'm having the same problem that this thread was originally made for. I'm definitely not a technical person and i'm probably just totally overlooking something and i feel kinda stupid asking but what's CC? And did you ever get that problem fixed?
