My Sim won't read magazines?

So I bought some magazines and am trying to get him to read up on some topics.  All his needs are met, everything is in the green...but he sits down for 1 second and then puts the magazine down to go do something else.

Do I just need to wait a few days between reading magazines?

Usually reading a magezine helps build Fun, so if their fun bar is completely gree, that's what is causing them to put the magezine down and do something else.


Try waiting until their fun is in the orange/yellow area, and try again
