Building Apartments

I have Sims 2 Apartments, but for the life of me i can't  figure out how to build up own flats or rental homes!!! I know i can download ones other people have done, but i really want to make my own!

Anyone got any answers please???  {wacko}

I built apartments yesterday and it wasn't easy, and I have more things to fix today. I have to move a family out and change the lot back to residential to add ceilings. I forgot that. I also have room dividers on the floor that I need to remove, because the game thinks that the livingroom isn't a part of the apartment.  {blush}  This tutorial might help you:
