Re: The BBS
They do freaking nag all the time.  Every single thing, they nag about.  Then if they do get their way, they nag.  "The sims are too realistic, now they are too real."  "The graphics suck, now I can't run the game, because the graphics seem too good."  Shut up!

I sometimes wonder why EA just don't share nothing?  I totally wouldn't blame them if they don't give out no more news until the game comes out, because I would tire of all that nagging too.

Re: The BBS
That is so true.

No matter what AE/Maxis does, they are always going to complain.

Re: The BBS
Thanks.

When game developers make sequels, what they do is something called:  Trying something new.  (One does not have to be a sophomore in college to know this---even my 5 year old cousin does)

What would be the point of the sequel, if there is nothing new?  I hear the most complaints about the two biggest things:  The seamless n-hood and the universal aging.  Without these two, we would rather have TS2 w/ upgraded graphics.

What game developers and anyone who runs a business, writes books, or does anything creative does--they take a risk, and taking a risk involves change.

I love TS2, but I would be angry if EA listened and took out those two things--like they would?  They aren't taking out or adding nothing, because they are finished with the game.  This time between now and February is for testers to play the game and try to fix as many bugs they can before release date.  They are not doing anything else with the game.  And I have been on forums like Fable 2, Smash Bros, and stuff...most of them were excited, and I rarely heard complaints...but those companies do not do as much for their fans.

EA/Maxis, you have to admit does a lot for the community.  All Fable did was add a bigger world and the ability to have children, SSBB just added characters, some new stages, create a stage, and specials...EA gets all of their ideas for games from the fans.  While planning a game, they go to sites and forums and listen.  They do add as much as they could in a game.  They add what the fans desire--and what two things were at the top?

1.  Universal Aging
2.  Seamless N-hod

Other stuff:

1.  Ability for anyone to customize things
2.  Another movie maker besides WMM
3.  Fatter Sims
4.  More recipies/more realistic jobs
5.  Less loading times

Now that they are in the game, what do you want now?  People are worried about total control...like 3% of people control their neighborhood.  HTH do you control your entire neighborhood???  You can, but you sims will never age...and majority focuses on 1-3 families.

Then about bodyshop with the game and n-hood tools.  They probably can put them in the game, but they chose not to.  Why?  Because they wanted to fit everything in to make the fans happy, and have the game be the same price as TS2 when it first came out. (And people are tripping about spending $50--like if they buy xbox 360 games, they can)  Anyways, let's say they did add bodyshop and n-hood tools, but that involves another DVD being added, what happens?  The price goes up.  I know that it costs nothing to burn a DVD, but the staff has to pay bills and stuff.  They know that they should be with the game--that's why they are gonna be FREE!

(I can go longer, but if you have reached this point, you have survived my 100-year rant.  Thanks for hearing it out)

Re: The BBS
I like it too, but in TS3 section, it is fun, but it also brings out the fun because it is so many whiners and complainers about every single thing.  Negativity can make the funnest, most exciting thing be not fun.
