How DARE they delay it by that long, with 16 days to go?! How DARE they do that?! Absolute nutbars/jerks.

So, to add to the death list:
Weiner Bros, for delaying HBP, on short notice.
Electronic Arts, for delaying Sims 3 on short notice.

And delaying it definitely wont make it a better, less bug-free game, I get irked at hearing that. There's always going to be bugs. I don't understand why they are delying the game so long, when they know it's looking awsome.

Put it this way: Give me my bodyshop/demo, and give me my free cookies and a TON of updates for the next few months, or... prepare to die? {rolleyes}

It came off the Sims3.com official site so I'm ganna call it.

Though I say live as long in denial as you can, since the real world is full of mean men who say that they want to delay a game in order to get "perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,”

I.E. more money ... {glare}

after all that delay talk i'm pretty sure every sims geek with internet knew about the game so i can't imagine a better "runway"...

edit: i'm pretty sure they won't give us a cas demo because it isn't like bodyshop. it's an ingame thing while bodyshop could be opened outside the game. they better give something in return though and i don't mean no stupid blog, or a ben bell video, can't see his face right now...

I think anyone who preordered should cancel to freak EA out.

Apparently it gives them time to create awareness??
Now that is stupid. EVERYONE knows about TS3. We are ready. We've been waiting long enough.

because that financial thing just happened to fall in the same month as the sims 3 original release and they couldn't announce anything till the stockholders were reassured. our feelings of not knowing didn't matter apperently but they forget: without us = no money at all

On the Australian part of Sims 3 site, it has a video that says right at the end, "SIMS 3; COMING OUT FEBRUARY 2009." It also doesn't say about the July 20th [or, at least I cant find it]. EB Games says it comes out 20th March, so I have no idea to believe. EA has lied to us before, and I don't trust them.

This feels like I'm on MuggleNet all over again, enforcing groups and trying to stand up to teh Weiner Bros.

Okay, as Kenya said, everyone CANCEL YOUR PRE-ORDER, please, please, please. Freak them out a little.
Also, we need to email EA in masses, like, if everyone on this forum could send them an email (you don't have to shout if that's not your thing, but a polite letter of dissapointment and how you're upset about how they handled the situation would be nice, I plan to do that). For now, that's all we can do.

Films are different to games, so I know we can't sign a petition to change the release date earlier, but we can still let EA know that this kind of lazy behaviour is not on.

They NEVER update their site like they promised.
They NEVER interact with the community anymore.
They NEVER told us about this delay until a measley 2 weeks before the games long-anticipated release.

They deserve a bit of stick, let's be honest.  

Now, what's the email? =P
