            I think in the sims 3 there should be cellphones. I think  for example the male dad sim should call home call there wife and say that there going to be late. Or for the teenager or kid to be able to call home and ask if they can go to a friends house or go to the mall.  Cellphones can help alot. The mother sim can call home if she needs to know what they need from the grocery.
