HELP!!! Unable to get to cheatcode bar?!?!?

Im a newbie here and I'm  {cursing} that I am unable to press ctrl+shift+c to open the cheat bar at the top the screen during game play. Why is that? I had this on a old but new laptop and the code worked, just baught a new one and loaded it back up and started from scratch and now I am unable to enter cheats. Please help this game is boring without being able to build stuff.

are you sure your typing it in right? what i do is hold "Shift"+"CTRL" then i press the "C" button or else it will take pictures if you type in the "C" before the other buttons

yeah I am...I did that a couple of times but it worked on my old comp Idk why it doesnt on my new one

hmm.. are you sure they aren't any other programs that interfere with Shift+CTRL+C
as there are people who had problems like this in the sims 2

lol good question...I have an update ready for Windows and norton antivirus is running thats all..Maybe I'll go and run the updates and maybe try but I doubt thatd work.

look inside norton and see if you can change the code thingy

Are you running a HP computer?

yeah if you are running an HP you have to hit CTRL +  SHIFT + Windows button + C
