okay, so i wanna put the topic of needs to rest. r there or r'nt there. if there isn't, then idk if i'm getting TS3!!! That would be a waste

Well, they will be there, but they don't govern your life nearly as much.
your sims's mood won't depend on how full or empty their bladder is. They said something about "discrete moods" and instead of needs you have these other things that are more like how people work. In the Sims 3, it will still be a challenge to juggle 6 people and keep them all alive and happy.
