Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
Internet is down for 3 days, and I miss a month of info almost XD

Sorry I went all Voldy on the old one LOL    I was posting my opinion of Cassie's post, but quoted it, and got it just  enough that it can go through, and that killed it I think XD

I saw HP in Imax 3D, and it was my first imax and 3D experience.  I died.  It was AMAZING!!!!      im on the Luna Nevil Ship!

Another thing, on the next generation. If they made books, I want Luna to be Charms teacher.  Because the Charms teachers are always a little whacky.  I think Dumbledor was Charms Teacher, right?

Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
I think Harry should be DATDA/Headmaster, Hermonie umm.. IDK. Malfoy should be potions teacher, Neville is the gardening teacher (or whatever it is called...), and Luna should teach Divinination.

Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
Well Harry & Ron are aurors and Luna is a wizarding naturalist. Neville teaches Herbology [I think that's what you meant Anna Tongue], Dumbledore taught Transfiguration before becoming Headmaster. Smile

Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
Jo has revealed some info after the book came out answering questions on the characters futures.
There was a documentary aired a couple years ago [I think it aired recently in the US too] and Jo also showed a Weasley family tree, and one for Luna & Malfoy, and it was super. (: I'll try get a picture.

*found it!*

ETA; Notice how she put Fred's death as 1997. Wouldn't that be incorrect? I'm pretty sure according to the books timeline, Fred died 1998. :\

Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
Im not sure, as the last book is the only one in which you see the the frame of the story (as far as I know) and that is from the parents graves.  But after that, they dont have a time frame of how long they stayed places o anything.  They were always surprised to find out the date.  So it could be either or I guess.  But if JK said that, it must be true

Re: The Harry Potter Official Thread 2!
Well we know HBP ended in 1997. As the series goes;

Philosopher's Stone [obviously begins in 1981 but the school year takes place 1991-1992]. I know for sure he starts school in 1991 because not only has Jo said this anyway, but in Deathly Hallows, on James and Lily's graves it states they died in 1981. Harry was one when they perished, implying he was born in 1980 [this is a confirmed fact anyway] and he was 11 when starting Hogwarts.
Chamber of Secrets; 1992-1993 [this is so random, but I think it all the time, but this is the book I was born in Tongue Like, during the timeline].
Prisoner of Azkaban - 1993-1994.
Goblet of Fire; 1994-1995.
Order of the Phoenix; 1995-1996.
Half-Blood Prince; 1996-1997.

Deathly Hallows follows onward from HBP as though they are one big book [Jo has said this]. You can see that by how DH starts with Harry entering the Dursley's home, rather than the book mentioning what he's been doing [or lack of] over the summer.
Given that Christmas happens in the book [Godric's Hollow chapter for evidence], and Christmas is always followed by a new year, one can only assume 1998 followed that, and Fred dies looong after Christmas, close to the end of the book.

ETA; Just checked the Harry Potter Wiki and it does in fact say he died on May 2nd 1998. So I guess Jo made a little blunder. Tongue

ETA#2; Reading back on my posts, oh God, I am such a big HP nerd. It's embarrassing. {blush}
