I've been waiting for this movie since like June. I'm so going to see it. Even though I really don't believe it IS going to happen, I still think it's going to be a good movie. I mainly want to see it because it has cool effects XD

I dont get how ppl can believe in these ancient stuff
the calender is old, so why bother
they thought differently, had a different religion, and though of life in another way
so why would I believe in that?

As for Mayans and their beliefs, it is not all about religion. It's all philosophy and very precise calculus. 
Myself, I had this sort of beliefs, before I even heard of them. They were put on this earth with a reason. We like to bash them because they're 'ancient and primitive' but what makes us better? Technology? I don't think so. I personally could live without it. There's more to life than material stuff. Also, time is just a fabrication of the human mind.
Some things they predicted started to show. This personality crisis people go through and all this bad stuff happening. I noticed all this stuff, then meditated and contemplated. The fog is going to be lifted sooner or later. 2012 is all about rebirth, not the end of the world.

It's going to be the beginning of a new Era.

it could be true, but no ones knows for sure what will happen
