I don't get the bidding stuff. So highest bidder wins? O.o They should pull a country out of a hat or something...
And yay for London hosting 2012. Though they wont stop going on about it.... I erm, I'm not into anythign sporty so I have no interest in London winning whatsoever. |

Re: Rio to host 2012 games...
they say that it will be costly to hold these games, so I heard on television
and I believe so because of congestion, clean up, and building those huge stadiums |

Re: Rio to host 2016 games...
Do a Bing search on 'Rio Slums'. You're going to be amazed at what the government there thinks of poor people.
The slums in and around Rio are amoung the largest in the world. I think that its great that a South American country got the games but, Rio should have cleaned up their city before they put in a bid for the games. Really, do the search and you'll see what I mean. --Stupid People Hurt Other People--
---Stupid People Let Them---
----Are you going to to be Stupid today? |

Re: Rio to host 2016 games...
Being from around Chicago, I'm disappointed we didn't get it. Such is life.
Anyways, I read a funny comment and many of you won't get it...Illinois has been very corrupt in the past (might still be), and the governor of Indiana reportedly said to the governor of IL something along the lines of "I'm surprised you couldn't fix the election" to which the IL governor replied "hardy har har". This made my day, haha. I'm here to help! Send me a private message! |

Re: Rio to host 2016 games...
I lived in Chicago during the reign of the King (Richard J. Daley - 1955~1976). If this had been then, the Governor of Indiana would have been wacked.
Anyways, I was pulling for Japan. Global warming (rising seas) will render Tokoyo unsuitable sometime in the decades beyond 2016. --Stupid People Hurt Other People--
---Stupid People Let Them---
----Are you going to to be Stupid today? |

Chicago is a 10 hour drive from where I live. I've only been there once.
