New older player
I'm Sharon and I'm an older player at 47.  I'm totally new to The Sims computer games - haven't even played yet but my fiance just bought Sims 3 for me at my request.  I have played Sims 2 Castaway on the Wii and I was really addicted to that but then there wasn't much to do.  I have a feeling that Sims 3 will be so much better.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get Sims 2 or Sims 3 but I went with 3 because of the SecuRom that comes with Sims 2.  I'd still love to try that at some point if I can find it without SecuRom.

I'm the type of person that likes to find out as much as I can about games to get the most from them so I'd love to know any tips or about any websites etc, which might be helpful to help me learn how to use the game.

I look forward to interacting with fellow players.

Sharon

Re: New older player
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.  I finally installed my game and was thrilled that it actually works on my laptop.  Now just to get past the learning part.  On to check out the Sims 3 forums to learn more Smile
