Haiti
Did you guys hear about the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti?! It's so devistating! Haiti is the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. The country is already fcuked up with poverty, now its directly screwed with this natural disaster. People have been talking about today in class and with my friends. My friend Kiki told me that in Twitter, you post #yele. donate. You put something like that. She did it, so did I. Me and my mum are thinking of giving donations.

The pictures are so sad. People & children are left homeless. Their homes are so destroyed and even the government. If you don't know how to pronounce 'Haiti', it is said like this, Hey-tea. Tongue

So yeah, decided to help the cause with this.

Re: Haiti
I saw news reports of it...possibly over 100,000 dead from it. It is sad indeed.

I'm here to help! Send me a private message!

Re: Haiti
I saw a news report too.
It's so horrible. Especially that they are the poorest country too.

Re: Haiti
I was telling my mum that I feel bad because I ate a good dinner at a Thai restaurant, then going to a warm home where food is also waiting for me and with me and family being alive while the people in Haiti are devastated. There's no signal or service there at the moment.

I am so seriously in disbelief. So many people died. & the fact that the hospitals had collasped just made it worse. Like Sam said. It is one of the poorest countries & for them to loose something like a hospital is devasting because it's their only source of medical help. Here in the states or other places. We can be transported to another facility. They can't because majority of them don't even have the money to get the basic medical help ;___;

I'm gonna donate the clothes I don't wear to the Salvation Army. Hopefully some goes to the victims of Hati.

Re: Haiti
I'm a little concerned because my moms friend has a six year old daughter in Haiti.
I'm scared for that little girls life, if it's not already taken ;__;

Re: Haiti
Well, she came over to Canada a few years ago to get settled and then she sent for her but
it was really hard to get her over here. Like 5 years until she can get her over so that's why.

Re: Haiti
According to Pat Robertson it's all the Devil's doing and there is no such thing as a natural disaster. {rolleyes}

I'm considering donating some of my Christmas money since I have most of it left. I want so many things, but whatever, being charitable does make you feel good. And the whole thing is a nightmare, and people don't seem to care much..
