I Miss Summer!

So a couple days ago there was a massive blizzard here... it was awful... roads were closed, flights were cancelled, exams were postponed. I hate winter.
So to cheer myself up I've decided to make a list of things that remind me of summer or are related to summer!

The smell of sunscreen
The sound of rain on the roof at night
Lying around on the docks and jumping into the lake
Taking the boat out to the middle of the lake and jumping off
Tubing
THE BEACH
Popsicles
Movies
Walking barefoot on the moss after it's rained (It's squishy and lovely)
Staying up all night and reading with a flash light
Storms
Fireflies
Harry Potter


That's just a few I can think of... what reminds you guys of summer?

I think of hot weather. Stickyness and a lot of sweat x.x
I prefer everything except Summer. Cause it's soooo hot down here. But it reminds me of cool drinks and friends! :3

You guys have really hot, dry summers. Here the summers are very temperate and wet. We rarely have days where the temperature is over 30C... lol.

La stays (at minimum) 80 (at maximum) 110.

Okay, I like Winter. But damn. Let it be over now.
I'M COLD.
I want sunshine, strawberries and cream in the garden, flat out on the grass all day reading or with my iPod on, and going out on Summer nights having a laugh and not being bloody cold.
I would even be happy for it to be Spring. I like the April showers and the weather is usually really fresh and not too warm or cold. I love that weather too. Anything but this bitter frosty air, I believe it's going to snow again tonight or tomorrow too. Again. =(

To be honest...rain always reminds me of winter. It rains most of the time except in April/May. Thts the real British summer as far as I'm aware. {lol}

We have really sticky Summer's. Primarily because we don't have any sea near us, so we don't get any breeze from that. But I have an attachment to the sun. I often leave and sit in the garden from about 11am when it starts to heat up enough, and stay out all day with just a book and my iPod, and just relax all the way until 7 or 8pm and have tea on the chairs and tables outside. The evenings are usually really pleasant, since you've been out so long you're sticky and hot, and the chill feels really good.

I miss those long days just chilling out doing absolutely nothing. I still occasionally do it now, but cooped up in the house which just ain't the same. {rolleyes}
