Did you use the new patch for the EA Downloader? I'd heard there were problems with it (seems to happen every time they bring out a new game) and so I let it patch the game but refused to let it patch the downloader, and appear to be having no problems with my game.

I use the TS3.exe as well, as the launcher is more trouble than it is worth.

HELLO There! Blush
i reinstalled my game but i did not delete my saves..
i have just downloaded v 1.17.00something patch and my sims3launcher is now working. Smile
problem is, (a mild one), my sims is the basic one, no add-ons (world, late night ambitions, etc.), and my sim starts hoping she could buy a hot tub. Undecided
rewards points for a hot tub is 1000+Huh

The hot tubs are only available if you got the new Expansion Pack Late Night.

If you're new to the game, find out about all the other add-on packs before deciding which ones to go for first, if you can't afford to buy the lot. Each has their own advantages, but it's all down to what interests you the most.
