Sims 1 & Vista

Anybody ever get Vista to run Sims 1?
My stupid desktop won't. But my XP laptop will but the startup stalls so I hafta encourage it to keep going.

It works, and it actually runs very well. Make sure you're running the game in compatibility mode. (Right click on the shortcut to launch The Sims>Click the Compatibilit Tab>Click Run in compatiblity mode and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2)>Click Run this program as an administrator). That should work, if not, either send me a message or post back.

yeah it works. i used vista 4 sims 1 when i got my new computer and vista first came out

i had tried compatibility mode, didn't do anything.

i gotta FIND my freaking cd before i can try again  :-\

It should work, and from what others are saying, it does.

Be sure that you are running in compatibility mode. Also, it wouldn't hurt to run it as an administrator.

That happened to me with Sims 2! Vista's just like that.

I think the sims 1 would run..im kinda tempted to find all my games..but i think some things got broken and thrown away..so dang..cause i wanna play to see how different it was..
