Still, to be honest, I don't think any of the Disney stars are special. Once their Disney time runs out, they won't go on to do bigger and better things. They can't, really. It's the Disney curse.
Just look at Lindsay and Hilary - they TRY to be serious actors/singers, but they just can't because they have that Disney past. Besides, I don't think any of the Disney actors are up to par with the more serious actors. Anyhoo, about Demi - I have heard her sing. Granted, not a lot, but enough to know that it's not extraordinary. It sounds like Disney, to me. I feel so bad saying all of this, but I'm just being honest. Winning her own show and a record deal isn't THAT fantastic. Sure, it's most teenage girls' dream, but it doesn't really make her special in my eyes.

that's all i have to say...
i was hoping EVERYONE liked her and selena more than miley. finally some hispanic girls on disney channel. and talented ones.
in my eyes... miley cyrus is nothing special. her two years of fame are almost up. if she's lucky she'll be on disney channel longer than that... but i'm not counting on it.

Anyhoo, I never said Miley was special, either. Honestly, I don't think any of the Disney stars are. But I do like her more than Demi, but less than Selena.

let's say there's three kids.
two of them will be white
one of them will be black.
that's usually how it is.

Yup, I like Miley more than Demi. I REALLY don't like Demi, which is not something I should be saying to you.
They're not racist at all. They just haven't had the right Hispanic girls try out until now.
They've had Asians, African Americans, Russians...nearly everything. I'd hardly call that racist.
And about your 2:1 ratio - "That's So Raven." Two black characters, one white.

yeah, i realized the that's so raven thing. same difference though!
and DC hasn't had that many asians or russians. or at least not that many i've seen. and a lot of people seem to think the world is black and white. just my opinion

Like I said, it's not that they're racist...they just don't have a chance to cast most of them. I mean, consider this - open audition. The majority of people there will be white, mainly because they're in America and that's what's "normal." So if you have more white girls than girls of another race, it's more likely that a white girl will be cast. Simple math, really.

kinda like how in mexico they have a lot of hispanics on their shows. and in canada they have canadians on their shows.

Exactly. It's because the majority of people auditioning are the colour of their area. So it's more likely for them to get the part than the minority.
