Alright, here you go:

Scammers and hackers use to use a "secret" language called leet speak which was made up of numbers and such that stood for letters. Do you see how '1' could stand for an 'l' and '3' could stand for an 'E'? This is what they would use as their "code".

Now it's used more widely, such as in World of Warcraft (Warcrack, more like) and the likes. The definition of leet speak has also been expanded.

It's along the same lines as 'pwned' and '<sarcasm>You're so smart!</sarcasm>, if you've ever heard of those.

Do you sort of get it now? If not, I could give you the Wikipedia definition Wink

I see how you mean, but why did your post count turn into leet? Remember my headache so I'm not good at working things at at the moment, I apologise. Sad

Oh, I get that. But I don't get why it was there.

Chances are, as leet speak is an online thing, there are leet settings on this forum. Sometimes they work like Easter eggs and only show up occasionally, and sometimes they're an 'all the time' thing. To find out, we'd have to wait until someone else acquired 1337 posts.

Anyway, in a nutshell, it was probably Internet/setting related.
