Well, the thing is, Spore is a totally new game, it's a concept we haven't seen before... They have to plan everything really carefully so that it sells well.
The Sims 3 is obviously an instant success; they don't have to plan everything thoroughly because it's a sequel and they already know what the fans like and don't like. It's totally different than doing something from scratch.
The release date may be pushed back, but never as dramatically, in my opinion.

You are right. Spore is a whole new game, which doesn't have fans, and that they want and need to be a major success. Then you are right again that they don't need to plan The Sims 3 as much. It is an instant success. So you may be right that it won't be drastically pushed back because of that.
My problem is that I want it right now, so it better come out in the Spring. I am just a spoiled brat.

Yeah, it is not Will Wright over the game. That's why Spore is taking so long. It is Will's baby and his masterpiece. So they changed Spore from its official Sept. 2008 release date? That was announced last month. If it is pushed back to next year, I am going to remove my preorder.
Humble sounds like he is trying to get this game out on time, and March, they were 69% done. Now they may be at 73-74%, and they got a little less than a year.

Well that wasn't the case with TS2. I know what you're saying though. I don't even think the game will be delayed, but who knows? That just seems to be a pattern with EA.

I hate being called a spoiled brat too, especially by my cousins, because they don't have the stuff I have. My mom does not buy me stuff. I work for the money, save and spoil myself when I can.
But I am a spoiled brat in this. I just cannot stand having a game I want right now, when the developers are probably playing it every day, taking pictures and stuff.
I will pout like a spoiled brat if this game does not come out in the Spring. >:-( Then I will scream like one if it comes out next fall. {cursing}
