Hmmm. The egg will count towards your "egg count" for a full day.

This is on purpose, to make the 5 hour wait to abandon caveborn eggs preferable to killing it.

No, you can't abandon dead eggs. You're stuck with it towards your count for a full day, and staying on your scroll for two weeks after that (though not counting towards anything)

But if you have two of the same, and are different genders, you can breed them and make more to give out for others to adopt.  It's a process!  lol
