One morning, the doorbell suddenly rang.  I was like, "Who is it?"  The only people that really came over my house was Nelson and his family.  And it was early in the morning, and Nelson usually came by announced.  So I looked out the window and saw my mom.  "How did she get my address?"  I wondered.  I was really hot and disappointed that she was at my front door.  Well, I ignored her for about five minutes, but she kept on faithfully ringing my doorbell, so I let her in.

"Hey mom!" I said.  Mom hugged me and looked around my house.  "This is a pretty nice place, Rainy." she responded.  "Where are my grandbabies at?  And why don't you never call or anything?"  I didn't tell mom the truth, I just didn't respond.  "Don't you like your own mother?" mom asked.  I didn't bother to answer her again.  She sure was getting sensitive lately.  Hours passed and she just wouldn't go home!  She cooked the meals and cleaned up my house.  "You are a really good mother, Rainy."  she complimented me.  "Where is their father?"

"They don't need a father." I responded.  "They are just fine with me."
"They need a father figure."  Mom replied.
"Were you the one who didn't think about me and kicked my father out, and put up a restraining order against him?"  I snapped.

Mom didn't say anything after that...Thanks Nelson, for sharing everything about what happened before I was born.  Nelson used to know my dad really well.

Then late at night, I tried sending her home.

"Fine!  I'll go home!"  she cried.  Then ten minutes later, she was raking my yard in the cold night...finding any excuse to stay over.  It's too late to be a good mom.

Well, I eventually found out I was expecting some time later.  I was really hoping for another girl...I really didn't want a stinking, filthy boy.

Well, a very special time of the year came up...my babies were growing up fast.  I really wasn't ready for my babies to turn another year older, but hey, at least I can reassign them their names and they won't have to be switched again.

Their loving family was there to support them.  I was surprised that Amber came though...we really didn't get along.  I told Malcolm not to tell Mom, and he did a great job.  Amber was acting weird around Nelson.  She wouldn't talk to Nelson or anything, like Nelson had done something to her...

Well, my two little girls grew up pretty!  They looked a lot like their father...nope...there was nothing from me.  And by looking at their birthday pictures, I still couldn't tell them apart.  I need to start writing on the back of their pictures.

But where's Michael??

Re: A Sims Story - yummybunny - 22-01-2009 12:51 AM

He showed up at the party, but the stupid game made him go home really soon.  Idk why. {lol}

My sims go home whenever they feel like it.

woohoo! Nice updated, love it.

I'm surprised to see Misty trying to act like a mother, finally.  She's old and knows her time is coming ... buahahaha.

You're right.  That happens all the time.  Parents, especially the fathers don't want to spend time with their kids and ignore them, then when they get old, they wanna see their grandkids and spend time with their kids, but then the kids act like they don't have time for them, because the parent never had time for them.

I live in the valley of deadbeats.  Like I am still meeting relatives...I still don't know my daddy's dad and never saw him before.

Re: A Sims Story - sim323 - 22-01-2009 04:38 AM

Re: A Sims Story - Chanel - 22-01-2009 04:42 AM

I never met my Mom's and Aunt's real dad...
But I have a ton of Great Aunts and Great Uncles, and family friends.

Re: A Sims Story - yummybunny - 22-01-2009 04:57 AM

I have a really huge family too.  But only on my mom's side...my dad's side has cousins I haven't saw for 10 years or so.  I used to go with my dad on weekends until he eventually had to "work" and "can never take off"...so I haven't saw him in like six months.  Last time I saw him was when my mom got very sick and was in the hospital for months...then he had time to take off and he actually cared for my mom...I think he just didn't want her to die, so he wouldn't have to take care of us.  (Bad accusation, but it's how he treats her and talks about her..and he don't want us..he wants to be a parent when it's convient for him.)

Like he wants us around every time someone on his side dies or a family gathering comes up, or parenting days at his job.  Then he really wanted to take me to prom and the big events.  But when it came down to the bare necessities, he didn't want to be there or he didn't have time.

Wow, Misty is being a mother? Wow xD

That's really interesting about your families though. I know most of the people in my family, and those people I don't know I don't really care to know them.

Nelson's Point of View

Well, I already knew that Rainy was pregnant again, but Malcolm and Amber didn't.  I knew that they really had to be curious, especially since they didn't know what man did the twins come from.

Malcolm:  Rainy, I see that you are pregnant again.  Same father?
Rainy:  Naw, a different man.  And don't bother to ask about him, because I really don't want him around, and I just used him to get pregnant.
Malcolm:  Oh...okay...
Rainy:  I know that you aren't comfortable with it, Malcolm.  I just want my own family, and I really don't want to get married to a man who would just break my heart and put me down.

I personally thought that Rainy was taking this family thing quite too far.  I mean, just because boys in high school called her ugly, picked on her, and beated her up, didn't mean that all men were gonna do her the same way.  I personally wouldn't do that to any female, especially my wife...if I ever get one..women look at me badly, when they see I have two kids.  Then some don't believe me when I say that they're really adopted.  Rainy really needed to give a man a chance..she just couldn't keep on bringing men around her children and having babies, it would soon effect them.  Rainy told me that she wanted a house full of children--preferably girls and no men, and she was gonna start making them all as early in life as she could.  And she was gonna get her babies, because a lot of men would hump anything that looked like a female.  I know that, because I am a man, and if it wasn't for morals, I would do the same thing.

Well, the birthday party sure didn't end...Rainy went into labor, which I found really funny.  The girls were scared and it was a big scare for little kids.  They thought their mom's belly was going to explode.  Malcolm was excited, but puffing on his inhaler constantly, and Amber just didn't care.  So, we had to call up Michael, since Michael's office was closed.  I really felt sorry for Michale--sick and couldn't really retire, because the town couldn't find a replacement.  Michael unfortunately didn't feel well, but he said that we can come to him at the house, or he'd give instructions to someone who was willing to help with the delivery.  Rainy chose the latter option, and since I was the man, I had to help her.  I really was about to die.  I really didn't feel comfortable looking at my sister's...you know...and I didn't have a stomach for it...I heard that delivering a baby could get really nasty.

"Why don't you just have the professional do it?"  I whined.  "I can't keep on doing this for you every time you are like this."
"There isn't no way in hell that I am going back to that dark, sad house with that witch!"  Rainy screamed.

Well, hours later, a little girl came out and there was my puke in her trash bin.  I really was exhausted...I really went through a lot.  Well, Rainy named the baby Joana.  Then we couldn't say who the baby looked the most like, since we didn't know who the father was.

Hopefully, I would have this correct.  Maybelle is on the left and Maybellene was on the right.  Belle was really estatic that she was a big sister, and Maybellene was so-so.  "I am a big sissy now!"  Maybelle shouted.  "That means that I have to be a good example and teach her all I know.  And she would end up like me!"

"But we won't get all the attention and toys from Mommy."  Maybellene claimed.  "So we have to share things in thirds now."

They cracked me up.  They sure were smart girls.

We welcomed Joana into the family with excitement and care.  Malcolm took a picture to take back to Mom and Michael.  Rainy got mad, because she didn't want Mom to see the baby, but I had to convince her to skip mom.  I mean, the best revenge is to do nothing...Rainy was stressing herself out worrying about Mom.  Like let Mom see, but she don't have to let her touch.  I personally didn't mind Mom being around my kids, and I believed that she was hardest and most critical on me--claiming that I would be nothing in life and everything.  Rainy had it easy compared to me--mom only insulted Rainy for looking like Nick, and would call her ugly, but personally, I thought my sister wasn't ugly.  Mom was pissed that I looked like my father, but when I heard her talking on the phone when I visited her last week to an old friend, she said, "If Nelson wasn't my son, and if I was young again, I would had been all over him."  But then she said, "I wish that I can start all over with my kids.  They won't even see me now..."  Mom was getting old, and was having those senior regrets of things they did in life.  She knew that it was a matter of time before she would pass away, and she wanted to be a grandma, but couldn't.

Rainy was a good mother...when I usually came over, she was playing with her kids or doing something with them.

I silently decided to be a father figure to the twins.  I told them that I was always there for them and if they ever needed anything, I was a call away.  They really did need a father though.

By knowing Rainy, she was going to turn them against marriage.

I took this picture of the twins.  I really loved my family members.  They were my nieces, but they were also like two more kids that I'd adopted.  They were the cutest in this picture.

Joana grew up really fast.  I believed that she was looking a lot like me.  Joana was quiet, but she was smart.  My babies were educated by me.

But then, I was ready for another family member.  My neighbors were starting to think badly of me, because I had three babies and I was unmarried, and none of the fathers were hardly around.  Plus, a neighbor told everyone else that their fathers were married.  So I was known as the neighborhood tramp.  I didn't care, and they didn't know me.  I was just a loving woman who wanted babies, not a husband.  I was a darn good mother, and they refused to see behind the walls of my house.  I was dedicating these years of my life to motherhood and having babies.  Joana was almost two, and that was too long of a time for me not to be pregnant.  I should had had another one by now.

When I saw him, it was like I saw the most beautiful daughter in him.  I just had to have him.

His name was Lamar.  I just wanted to get right to the point, and of course, he was a nasty doggish man, like they all are, and I was gonna get my baby soon.

But when we were about to go at it, one of the twins missed the bus.  Maybelle was just getting out of bed.  Lamar offered to take her to school, but I didn't trust a strange man with my baby.  I got her ready myself, packed her lunch, took her to school, kissed her, and came back home to Lamar waiting outside.  This man really waited outside so he could get some...in heat dogs!

Then BAM, we went straight at it!  And he actually was really good!

Then one night, Mom called me crying.  How did she get my number?  It happened that she went to NaeNae.  NaeNae, it wasn't her fault.  She had no idea about our relationship with Mom.  Mom was just Grandma to her.  I didn't recognize the phone number, because she had a new cell phone or something.

"I'd been trying to reach you for two years!"  she cried.  "You never answer the door or you never pick up!  I saw that you had another baby!"
"And she's fine."  I snapped.  "Mom, don't call here no more!  I really don't want you in my life!  I really am sick of you!"
"You're killing me with this!"  she cried.  "Don't say that, baby.  I'm sorry."
"It's too late for that!"  I fussed.  "Now, don't come near my children or my house and don't call here.  I don't care if this news does kill you!  You should had thought about me when I was a child!  You'll have other grandkids!"

Then I hung up in her face.
