I didn't even realise anyone had replied and then I looked and saw you'd replied ages ago! : No problem. The same thing happens to me sometimes...don't worry about it. ![]() dateline= Wrote:Firstly, about Emma and her blonde phase - I too think she has her mind set on being a blonde because as they say "gentlemen prefer blondes." : I'm a blonde, myself, and I agree. Hair colour does not affect who you are. And both brunette and blonde are beautiful colours. But brunette suits her far better than blonde does...especially the shade she has in the HBP movie previews (those little snippets featured on OotP DVD) and any other interview she's given lately. : Yes, she needs to get over the belief that hot = blonde. She doesn't need to stoop to that level. dateline= Wrote:About Hermione being ugly - don't worry, I never meant that! I just meant she'd be a smidge uglier than Emma is, because Emma is a very pretty girl. I think Hermione would be quite plain. Just like most people, I guess. Not ugly, not pretty, just plain. Oh, no, I didn't mean to say you meant ugly. Yes, plain is a better way to put it. ![]() dateline= Wrote:I was on Emma-Watson-fans.net and they posted something about Emma's acting ability, and it said that one of the crew (can't remember who, but I think it was a pretty important member) had said that many people on set found Emma's acting poor and her ability to learn her lines quickly enough was even worse. And I know there are many people who agree with us, too. Those eyebrows in particular, they send me cross-eyed just watching them! Have you seen this video on YouTube? It's dedicated to Emma's Oscar-Winning Eybrows! That's a riot (as is the movie)! Wow, I kind of feel bad for her - all those people talking behind her back like that. But they do have a point. And I would imagine it would take her a while to learn her lines...especially after killing all of those brain cells while bleaching her hair. : ![]() dateline= Wrote:And about Emma not gaining many more roles than Hermione... agreed! However, you'd be surprised how many people disagree with us. I've looked at several polls asking who is most likely to obtain a very succesful career when the HP movies are done, and Emma is always sitting pretty on top. : I bet the gents control that poll. Because most HP fans I know take a stab at Emma every chance they get. Well, look at what the cast has done between films - both Daniel and Rupert have done other things (one of Dan's jobs was particularly "popular" : ), while Emma's barely done anything. dateline= Wrote:About Jo not being a great "writer"... I'm worried now. We agree too much for it to be normal. I've thought this myself many times, and I know exactly what you mean. She's great at creating the story - the characters, settings, plots. But sometimes she isn't quite as brilliant at putting those fantastic ideas into words. I know. I do have a particular bother with her description. Some of the scenes she created are dazzling, you can just picture them in your mind, but yet, she doesn't use any particularly outstanding descriptive words when there's a huge library of them to choose from. If you understand what I mean. Her vocabulary gets a touch annoying, anyway. That's basically what I'm saying. Eh, well...I'm use to agreeing, at this point. It's not so much of a surprise anymore. ![]() But I honestly can't believe you agree with me on this one! I'd be attacked by a hoard of angry HP fans if I ever said this on MuggleNet. I definitely agree - she's a genius when it comes to creating the story, but her downfall lies in the writing department.dateline= Wrote:And moving on to Dan's blue eyes - I always wondered about contacts, but somebody on MuggleNet I think it was, once explained to me that apparently Dan did indeed first go with contacts, but they irrated his eyes or something. Or using contacts just would not work for some scenes. I can't remember clearly, but anyway, I think they did try with green contacts in the beginning. I think I've heard that once, as well. But I don't really mind - it's one of the smaller detail-oriented issues I have with the movies. Now, the dress robes and Dumbledore's costumes...those are much larger problems. ![]() dateline= Wrote:And about Dudley, I agree. There was never any mention of Dudley hating magic, or even any hints. Like you said, he didn't really know what to make of it, but he was indeed frightened of it. But he never hated it. Exactly. So, I think it's safe to say that he adapted better than his parents did. dateline= Wrote:And thanks both Bambi and Paul for congratulating me on my 1,000! You're welcome! I bet Paul will make the 2,000 mark first - he's a posting machine!! ![]() dateline= Wrote:Also, what do you think of Emma's new headshots? Does anyone else find them...well, bland, boring and not particularly flattering? Because I do. Most definitely! Her eyes are rather empty/dead as well. But out of the lot, I'd have to say the last is my favourite, as well. There we go agreeing again. :

Aww, sorry, we're just big evil nasties that way, we can't help it. ![]() I'm halfway through CoS at the minute, I'm back at school tomorrow so it's going to take me longer to finish it than PS/SS did. I don't want to go back to school yet. ![]() I have no idea where Bambi is at the minute though. She'll probably be speeding her way through PoA at this very moment. Re: harry potter? - Paul - 06-04-2008 04:56 PM She said she's in GoF. Re: harry potter? - bambigoddess - 06-04-2008 05:03 PM Yup. I'm not very far into it, though. A lot of things have come up recently. But I should be able to finish it either today or tomorrow.
