“The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,” said Russell Arons, Vice President of Marketing for EA. “The Sims 3 will be the original IP summer blockbuster of 2009 as we build off the success of the best-selling PC franchise of all time to create awareness with both loyal Sims fans and new players.”

Is he serious? HELLLOOOO pretty much everyone is "aware" of ts3!!! And even if they aren't it's because they did a sh***y job at marketing! He mentions us as being loyal, I wonder how long that's going to last.......

the marketing was terrible.
i saw not one TS3 commercial at all and i found that a little
odd seeing it was being released this month...

I find his mention of our loyalty to be a little hypocritical...where was their loyalty to us?  {glare}

Many people know about TS3, but they think of it as a stupid dollhouse, or they just don't wanna play The Sims, because it isn't their style.

The Sims is popular enough for people to know about it.

What is this damn dude saying!  

You are not gonna make a fan on the iphone or the DS's crappy A** games!  

The only fans you will get is on PC.  The oldest they can get as a fan on the DS is a 10 year old.

The only sim game I would ever play on the DS is My Sims (that game is so bloody cute!!  {lol} )

You would lose over half of the features of the sims 3 on the DS, so what would be the point?

i know everyone got a wii this year but DAMN
the console game suck and im seriously pissed at
how they're doing this for money!
i bought the sims 2 last year;
EA made a huge fan. and i saw not one advertisement about it.
my uncle had it for PS2 [he actually had TS1 bustin out]
and i looked at it, i liked watching him play it, looked it up, and found TS2;
fell in love with reviews and such.
they made commercials for MySims but don't bother for TS3 and end up delaying it?

I have the original TS2 game on GameCube, and I have Sims 2:Pets on the Wii. That's it.

Not NEARLY as good as the PC games, but mildly entertaining for my Sim-fan self.
