I hide on the site I am a moderator on.
But that is only because if a certain member knows I am online, he starts sending me PM's to join him in a chat room.
He goes on a bit, about all his problems. {blush}

I've taken to hiding on this site, as well. I know it may sound like I'm only saying this because I'm a mod, but I've honestly always felt it's alright to hide if you're a mod or an admin. But I really see no reason for members to hide unless it's for a short period time during which they don't feel like speaking with anyone.

Well... I don't know. People could have personal reasons or maybe they just wish to hide? Each to their own, I suppose. But the thing with hiding is... well, no offence to the hiding fans but... it is a bit obvious you're online when you are posting lol!

That's what I just said...if it's just for a bit, I don't mind. And if there's a reason for it, I don't mind. It's when people hide just because that it bugs me.

Anyhoo, I see what you mean. But...I don't know...there's just something about hiding that makes you feel a smidge more relaxed when you're having a particularly bad day/week.

But I still think hiding is rather amusing in that way. But I can see how it would be more comforting to be hdden now and then.
