Re: iPods? - ChalyssaMuch - 12-05-2008 07:04 AM i dont see anything wrong with it..its a game..who cares if brands are involved? Re: iPods? - eternalbunny - 12-05-2008 08:03 AM They'd most likely have to pay to use the name. But, they could always change it to something like, iSim or simPod, something along those lines. (Like how they change cereal brand names for movies and tv shows) Re: iPods? - Rena - 12-05-2008 09:49 AM You can purchase MP3 Players in the Sims 2. The only bad thing is that you can't run with it, you have to stand in one spot. If it's a big enough movie, all the brands you see in the movie are paying to be there. Its called "product placement." For the sims, companies would pay A LOT of money. For example Ford definitely paid EA to put up their car for download. Re: iPods? - Cassie - 12-05-2008 04:18 PM Exactly, wouldn't companies WANT thier whatever-there-thing-is in the game? Sims is might popular, you know. Re: iPods? - bambigoddess - 12-05-2008 04:19 PM Well, of course! Great advertising. Re: iPods? - Cassie - 12-05-2008 04:25 PM IKEA, H&M, Ford? All those companies, they love it. Re: iPods? - bambigoddess - 12-05-2008 04:25 PM Definitely. Smart decisions on their part. |
