I mean, I guess it's sort of supposed to be a sim reproduction of Hollywood...
It's the same as every reproduction of Hollywood: completely inacurate.
Hollywood is, frankly, pretty gross. Yes, there are some nice areas (around the Kodak Theater, where they have the oscars, etc.), but as a whole it's a pretty gross part of LA.
Now, Beverly Hills... THAT is a completely different story

Hollywood is disgusting. There are bums peeing on street corners, there are a lot of not-so-nice buildings, not-so-nice people, etc. Gah. I don't like Hollywood.
Plus the traffic to get there is awful

I feel so horrible, I can't even remember Superstar. I remember seeing like... Avril whatshername walking down the street, but I can't remember much else.
But I choose getting famous.

Mine was going to studio town, and fans.
I loved the fans coming and going through my garbage. . Coming up and asking for autographs.
I loved the town - what would being a star be if you couldn't go to studio town?
