They apparently changed it so that they could advertise it more. If you ask me, that is a joke and an awful reason.

You know its ea all about the $$$ plus they are making the mac and pc release on the same day. Oh yea and for the ipod touch,Iphone, and mobile devices. I can see the reason for the mac for the same day release.Last thing at their ea delayed alot of games today that were supposed to be released in a month or two.

The only advantages I see to this is that:
1) mac and pc users alike will discover the wonderful world of TS3 at the same time
2) Being close to summer, I will be out of school (and so will many others, or they will get out soon) so I will have more time to dedicate to sims without my grades suffering for it.
But really, I think they should just release it when they planned, they should have thought about this BEFORE saying it would be out February 20th...what's the point of a prospective release date when they change it anyway and thus dissapoint us?

If it came out in February we would all still have had ALL summer to play it. (and if you go to university that means from April-September is summer break.)
Now I have less of my summer to play the sims3.

WELL DONE EA GAMES, Always have to do it to us {cursing} {cursing} {cursing} EA you cant even give us a good reason why Sims3 has a New Ship Date. Man EA SUCKS Big TIME! WE WANT MAXIS BACK THERE THE BEST WITH RELEASE DATES.

Ea bought the sims series so maxis really has no say in what the sims 3 will be. I know it sucks big time I have hated ea forever all they do is buyout game companies all they care about is $$$. They have never cared for the fans .
