it was right on time for me.id been expecting it for years and years, asking my mom questions and all. but when it came to me i forgot all about periods at the time. i thought since i hadnt had it by then, i might as well forget about it until i was 12 or 13, which is when a lot of american girls get it. but nooo, it had to hit me so suddenly. :O it happened like a week after i turned 11.

My period is irregular,so sometimes when i have symptoms they last for like 2-4 weeks,then i get my period!
It annoys me!

I started when I was 12. One of my best friends started when she was 8.
I use pads too. Tampons freak me out; the blood is meant to come out, not be forced to stay in until You feel like it.
Toxic Shock Syndrome may be uncommon, but the risks of never being able to have children frightens me. I want kids someday!

I completely get where you're coming from, Majick. I was very serious about that for quite a while.
I actually have to wear a lot of dresses and skirts, now, and trust me, it's not a lot of fun during that oh-so-special week. So I usually end up bending my rules for those times, but when I can wear pants, it's a ton better.

dudes, can you believe my period is barely ending? im so mad! {cursing} its not supposed to last over a week! D:
it wasnt that hard to deal with at school, but just when i thought it was ending, there were some more blood. and i was padless. at school. since i thought it was over.
no blood for a day or two though. hooray!btw, i decided when i got my period, i also dont like tampons. my mom uses them, and theyre kinda... weird. and gross. its bad enough to constantly have to touch your undies, but you have to touch, you know? EWWWWW! and besides, just get the skinniest pads possible! i was heavy for a few days, and they still worked!

I am on birth control, but mostly because I ... well ... I woohoo ;p
But I have to say, birth control is a great way to regulate your cycle. In fact, the friend I mentioned who started her period at 8 had to get on birth control at 15 because her cycles were so irregular, and so painful. The pill actually helped her a lot.
The one great thing is that you'll always know when to expect it, and it'll generally start on the same day, around the same time, every month. I almost always start on a Friday, though sometimes it'll come late thursday night. But thankfully, never while I'm asleep. It's odd that it works out that way, but I'm glad that it does. No nasty surprises come morning for me!
The worst thing is when i start AT work, and I don't have anything with me. Thankfully, I've only had to leave work early twice, because usually it starts, like, 20 minutes before my shift is done anyway. And I'm pretty light the first day. It's the second day that all heck breaks loose and I wanna die, lol.
Damn cramps!

i dont think my mom woohoos anymore, LOL.
after she had me, through all the pain of birth (she had me naturally OUCH! at least i was a bit small, ha), i dont think she would wanna have more kids {rolleyes}
oh, and she was only 22 when she had me. D: so yeah.
