I woke up this morning and thought it was all a dream, that I went on my computer and checking the Sims 3 site about the delay and that it was still on for Feb. 20th, and then wake up go back on my computer, thinking the news said The Sims 3 went GOLD on Feb. 3rd, and then having to beam back to realization that the game has been pushed and it wasn't a cloudy dream. {no}
I'm so hurt by this. The only thing that gets me the most is that the people in charge of Electronic Arts knew that there was a possiblity, they probably knew back in December, going over the stock and what not - and didn't have the decency to let us know then. Its just plain wrong and unprofessional to say the least.
I think Ben Bell and his team of staff announced Feb. 20th, because they knew, they get the game ready by then and that the head honchos of EA gave him approval for the date, and him working for the company he has no choice but to go by what his bosses relate to him and the others. I think Ben is for the fans I honestly believe, and maybe he too is disappointed for the company he works for, and is upset that the fans are upset as well, because of the false advertisment of the release date.
So whoever is to blame is EA themselves and not The Sims 3 team. Gosh, do I wish and hoped that Will Wright would of came back or that Sims 3 was a Maxis property, because then I think we would of gotten the game on the 20th because they know how to promote their product in the right strategic way.
EDIT: It must be nice for the people that attended the Creator's Camp, they probably don't care it got delayed, because they had a whole week to play the game. {cursing}

ugh
before christmas i bought a sims 3 preview disc and it has a $5 coupon for the sims 3
but, it expires in april
so... i cant really use it now

heh, I saw that delay coming, but not it being delayed to June! o___o They should have had time before to fix everything, not add time NOW. But on the bright side, its at the end of the school year which means more play time!

But the bad thing for me, I cant get it the week it comes out! It was rightt by my B-day before, so no Sims3 for me
But! I can ask for the computer to be fixed for my B-day! Then I can start a legacy

I was a little depressed by real life issues before this news, now I really am depressed.
I hope everybody cancels their pre-orders. I know I will not buy it when it comes out. Maybe later.
EA's reasons for the delay make no sense, and the countdown widget, are they nuts. They probably plan to change it universally next time they want to extend the release.
As we had only 17 days to go, I can not start counting down again.
I must admit, I admire the members looking for good in this mess. I am afraid all I see is another greedy company looking to squeeze every penny they can out of the paying fans.
